Engine Reconditioning Process
The engine reconditioning process starts with the removal of the engine from your vehicle. The engine is then dismantled and each component is inspected and graded.
The main engine core is then placed into a high-pressure washing machine using non-damaging cleaning chemicals. This brings the engine core to a “bright metal” state as the cleaning process removes debris and carbon deposits.
Depending on the condition of the components we then pressure test the cylinder head and re-skim, re-hone or re-bore the head as necessary.
We then inspect and machine where necessary the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, main and big-end bearing shells.
The engine is then reassembled replacing key ancillary components and bench tested.
Engineering Repairs
Cylinder Heads
We can remove and refurbish the cylinder head from your existing vehicle as part of your repair requirements. Alternatively we will supply and fit brand new items if that proves to be more cost efficient and practical.
